ght is a list of my professional credentials. These academic degrees, awards and achievements are not how I measure my qualifications to help people diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome. Whether or
they impress you or not, I believe is irrelevant. In my opinion, the RESULTS I achieve for you, and how well I treat you as a person are what really matter. Have you noticed that they never recommend that you consider natural treatments?
It is wise to consider or question everyone’s motivation. Why are they recommending their products or services? And if you are satisfied with the answers to those questions, you must find out their credentials and qualifications.
But the problem lies in the motivation.
Even if you’re impressed with a doctor’s credentials, you must
carefully consider their reasons for using the treatments they use. If
you’re really interested in the reality of our health care system, take a
good look at how a great deal of so-called clinical research is
conducted. If you don’t believe the outcomes of pharmaceutical research
are not influenced by the financial interests of those who fund them;
you’d better take a closer look.
In my practice, my motivation is simple: to get you out of pain as much as possible, and provide you with the "tools" to help yourself, so you can stay pain-free, fit, and as healthy as possible.
I accomplish this by:
(1) Utilizing and recommending treatments and technologies that will bring you relief as quickly, completely and safely as possible. This also means that I don’t ONLY recommend MY own services. This means that I don’t subscribe to the idea of forcing patients to choose between so-called "conventional" or “alternative” medicine.
(2) Teaching you everything I possibly can about health and fitness. This includes directing you to all the health resources I personally use for my family and myself.
(3) I don’t hesitate to tell you the “harsh reality” of health care. This means I will steer you towards the truth and frequent dangers of blindly following the “conventional wisdom” in health care.
I personally pay for everything myself regarding my practice and this website. Nobody does it for me. I have no obligations or ties to big corporations, advertisers or any manufacturer of any health product.
I don’t receive sales commissions, nor do I participate in any “multilevel” marketing system. Nobody gives me a penny to promote their products or services. Nor do I refer to other health professionals because they’re my personal friends (actually none of them are).
Any treatments, health-related products, foods, supplements, retail stores, websites, professional services, etc. that I recommend are done so because I have researched them and in most cases, my family and I have used them ourselves.
Considering all the hype and greed-inspired advertising razzle-dazzle that’s going on out there; I think you’ll be quite pleased with my “no-nonsense” approach.
As far as my academic and professional credentials go; they are listed on the right
I’m certain you’ll
discover that I bring something unique and very special to the table.
With the term “holistic” or "natural" being thrown around so liberally, I can proudly
say that I truly do treat the whole person—not merely the symptoms of
your condition. I subscribe to the concept of Integrative Medicine.
I’m passionate about improving my patients’ health attitudes and lifestyles. I’m a patient’s health advocate. I’m also deeply immersed in the blossoming field known as “Anti-aging Medicine.” That means that I don’t accept “old age” as something on which to blame your pain or ill health.
I am trained in various non-invasive, non-surgical and drugless procedures. I’ve been a natural healthcare practitioner my entire career. Since 1993, my patients have defined my role. They have turned to me to find solutions to their chronic pain. Natural solutions.
I have more or less exclusively treated people who had been turned away by other physicians… people who were told “nothing can be done,” “learn to live with the pain,” or “what do you expect at your age?”
I have always pursued and learned skills to create
long-term solutions for my patients. I acknowledge the role of
medications, but I view most of them to be for life-saving situations,
and for temporary relief to help people through tough times, until
corrective and rehabilitative solutions can be found and implemented.
